Mr. Shapiro graduated cum laude from Yeshiva University - Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in 1985 where he earned a position on the Cardozo Law Review having been in the top five (5%) of his class. He began his legal career as an associate with the big New York firms of Kaye Scholer Fierman Hays and Hander as well as Tenzer Greenblatt before starting his own law practice. From 1998 through 2002, while maintaining his own commercial litigation practice, he was Of Counsel to the firm Birbrower, Montalbano, Condon & Frank in New City, New York.       

In addition to having an active commercial litigation practice, Mr. Shapiro has served on and led panels giving Continuing Legal Education lectures, training fellow attorneys on examining and defending witnesses at depositions. Judah has been involved in transactions and litigations involving major motion pictures such as “My Cousin Vinny,” “Barton Fink,” and “The Commitments,” and has represented a variety of music clients, including Justin Hayward of The Moody Blues and other Rock N’ Roll Hall of Fame members.    Judah has also served his community as an Arbitrator in the Ninth Judicial District and as a Judicial Delegate in the Ninth Judicial District. He has also been citizen adviser to Assemblyman Richard Brodsky and to the Westchester County Legislature.    Bar memberships include New York State Bar Association, The Bar Association of the City of New York, New York County Lawyers’ Association and Rockland County Bar Association, where he is on the Commercial Litigation Committee and has served as Chairman of the Intellectual Property/Entertainment Law Committee.     Judah is also a member of MENSA.
